Sounds from Wednesday morning
I approached longtime friend and collaborator Elissa Rose, asking her to record herself painting over Radiohead’s ‘OK Computer’ album cover, while listening to the closing track of the album, titled “The Tourist.” She would paint for 30 minutes to an hour per piece, and then we’d reverse it, and match it to the length of the track.
The intended effect was for the original album artwork, which is extremely visually evocative for fans, to slowly begin to materialize as the song (and show) would come to a close. After a few iterations, this was the piece were most pleased with. This was played during the two “OK Computer Live” performances in December 2010.
Looks like I’ll be stayin in town a couple extra days and doing my visual set for the OK Computer Live show AGAIN with Chuck Kerr, Chris Maddin and friends at KRTU’s Concert for the Obscure. The first show went simply swimmingly, and this should be even swimmier.
One of the videos I cut and performed for the OK Computer Live Show. Features the film ‘Waltz With Bashir.’
